Man Returns & Searches For His Puppy 2 Days After His Home Collapsed In Tornado

The man risked his life as he dived into the wreckage looking for his puppy. He was devastated and quickly losing hope, but then he heard a faint cry.

When Michael Degado’s house fell during a tornado that passed through Rowlett, Texas, he and his family were caught off guard.

Michael’s brother and grandmother were dragged from the rubble, and the family was moved to an emergency shelter.

Michael, on the other hand, was concerned about the well-being of his Miniature Pinscher puppy, Lucy.

After the tornado passed, Michael was able to go out to find Lucy two days later. Some rescuers accompanied him and helped with the search, but Lucy was nowhere to be seen.

The rescuers were concerned that the small puppy would perish in the tornado, but Michael refused to let up

Onlookers were scared as they witnessed Michael risking his life by diving through the dangerous debris in search of Lucy.

Then he heard a faint whimpering sound coming from a massive pile of ruins.

He dove into the ruins with his entire body, trying to find the source of the whimpers.

The dramatic moment when Michael finally sees Lucy and rescues her out of the rubble is captured in this video.

After two days of surviving beneath the suffocating debris, the puppy desperately clutches her father and praises him for coming back for her.

Michael, too, bursts into tears and offers Lucy the largest hug! Michael will always be Lucy’s one genuine hero!

Watch Michael’s agonizing efforts as he valiantly rescues Lucy from the rubble in the video below!

Surfers Spent 6 Hours To Save Crying Baby Whale From Drowning

aving one animal won’t change the world, but it will change the world for that one animal. So, if you come across an animal in need, just try the best you could offer. Together, we could make this world a much better world that’s definitely worth living in for every being.

This baby pilot whale was spotted crying for help in shallow waters in Costa Rica, and thankfully her cry was heard. The poor creature was stranded during low tide and a part of her body captured the attention of Mauricio Camareno and his friends.

After catching a glimpse of the weird “lump”, they rapidly swam towards it and started to hear the sound more clearly. Right at that moment, the kind-hearted surfers knew right away that they had to do whatever it took to save this luckless calf.

According to what Mauricio shared with Amelia Rueda, the baby whale was already exhausted.

“She was very weak and could not keep afloat,” he said.

After reaching the calf, Mauricio and another surfer immediately used all of their strength to move the pitiful gal back to the open sea so she could be able to find her way back to her natural habitat. Unfortunately, the worn-out critter was too weary to swim on her own.

So, for the next 6 hours, the two compassionate men persistently hold her at the surface of the water to help her breathe naturally. And thanks to their kindness and tireless efforts, the baby whale gradually regained her strength.

Eventually, as the tide rose, the team slowly led the pilot whale to the deeper waters and then bade her farewell. It was surely a moment that they would never forget the rest of their lives.

Mama Pit bull cries profusely at shelter helped by volunteer

Animals have a large variety of emotions. They experience pain and sadness like we humans. The loss of the babies hit them very hard. At times they are unable to bear this loss.

While we can’t always make out what is going in their mind from their barks and moans, but at times their emotions are written all over their face. It is not like that you have to know them very well to know their emotions.

The same happened with Cinnamon, a taupe gray pit bull at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control Centre. The sad pup was seen by Sarah Sleime who is a volunteer while walking down the halls.

As Sarah was making her rounds when she saw the heartbroken pup sitting on her backside and Cinnamon had tears in her eyes and Sarah knew that the pup was very sad. Sarah also knew that Cinnamon had recently given birth to puppies and there was no sign of puppies which made the dog very depressed.

Moved by the condition of the dog, Sarah posted a video of Cinnamon looking very sad and depressed on her Facebook page which was immediately viewed by over 4.5 million people. Not only this, many kind people around the world showed their interest in adopting Cinnamon.

After going through all the messages, Sarah herself selected Meghan Shelton to be the perfect parent to adopt Cinnamon. Meghan’s family has three kids and another pit bull, Blu.

Upon adoption, Cinnamon’s name was changed to Rosie. She got along very well with the family and her brother. Now everything looked perfect but still, Rosie has to encounter some difficulties in order to make it more perfect. After adoption, Meghan found three growths on Rosie’s body and after investigation, it was found that they were tumors.

In order to cure Rosie, Meghan set up a GoFundMe page and was able to raise $ 500 for the surgery. Now everything is perfect for Rosie, she has recovered fully and is surrounded by the people who loved her dearly.

Wolf left by its mother lives with its human family- acts like a dog

We can keep many animals as pets like dogs and cats which are commonly kept. But some people even like to keep parrots or snakes.

Very few times you might hear of Wolf kept as a pet. But here is the story of Kira which is kept as a pet. Kira was left by her mother when she was only 3 days old and could not have survived if Alida did not come to the rescue.

The wolf was taken in, raised, and trained up like a dog by Alida so that she could have another chance at life. As wolves are wild and like dogs, they don’t have generations of domestication in their genes, so it was quite difficult to domesticate her.

Alida had to work extra hard as Kira was very careful of new things. She needed to be socialized so she met kids, adults, and other animals.

As hard work pays, thanks to Alida’s hard work, Kira is now fully domesticated. Earlier Kira’s mother lived with a family but they were unable to take care of her so she ended in a nursery. Kira is also born in the same nursery.

If Kira were to release in the wild, she would not have survived as no one taught her to hunt. Kira’s mother abandoned her when she was only 3 days old and in the nursery, she was fed by hand. Alida took Kira away when she was somewhat strong.

Alida adopted her when she was only 28 days old. She started making her more socialized by letting her see a huge number of dogs, people, and children.

They walked in different places so that Kira could study different smells, hear new sounds. Wolves had to be trained properly to live in an urban environment with Alida.

Kira is now fully trained. She does not react to other dogs and treats children very carefully. When people see her on the street, they are fascinated by her and asked to be photographed. They even ask whether living with a wolf is safe or not.

But Alida is fully confident that Kira is now a trained dog.

Amazing Rare White-faced Baby Deer Was Rescued After Being Abandoned By Its Mother

Wild baby animals can’t survive in the wild without their mother’s care and protection. They have to struggle with thirst, hunger, and threats from nature and humans (predators and poachers). Poorly, some are rejected by their own mothers. The reason is that they look different from others in their colony. Skin, hair, or patterns on their bodies – these make them an outcast.

This is the case of Dragon the baby deer in this story. The fawn is extremely rare as he has a white piebald face and belly. Only around 1% of deer are born that way.
The beautiful fawn faced the same fate – abandoned by his mother. Luckily, some kind-hearted people at Deer Tracks Junction, an animal farm in Cedar Springs, Michigan spotted the deer and rescued him.

However, being a piebald means that parts of Dragon’s body have no pigmentation. This causes him many different health problems. The baby deer can’t hear or see as well as a regular deer. He also has a weak immune system.

Additionally, the white-faced fawn is easy to be spotted by predators in the wild. The white parts on his body are so conspicuous. The precious creature needs to be tough to survive.

Unfortunately, Dragon couldn’t celebrate his first birthday. The beautiful baby deer passed away just a few days before his day due to health complications. Hilary Powell of Deer Tracks Junction wrote on Facebook:

“Well, sadly, this is an update that I never wanted to have to make. Despite all medical intervention available, we lost our little Dragon. It has been a tough time here, and he will be greatly missed by all.”

The Absolute Cutest Species Of Cat Has Finally Been Found

If you’ve ever said things like: “OMG this is the cutest cat ever!”, you can say that again. Because this is the ultimate cat. Meet the Caracal feline specie. And, of course, we’re just talking about external beauty here, and not a single cat is ugly. It’s just that the Caracals are irresistible.

The name Carcal originates from the word “karakulak” which means “black ear”. Aren’t those ears the cutest?

They can be found in Sub-Saharan Africa.

They can be as heavy as 40 lbs, so they’re not your average domestic cat.

Caracals are extremely fast runner. Their speed can get up to 50 mph!

They don’t have dreamy eyes, but rather feral. Nevertheless, they can surely be domesticated.

They look good even when doing that derpy face.

Caracals can jump really high.

Just like any other cats, they love playing with toys.

… and relaxing on a couch.

They are super friendly if domesticated.

Officer takes in injured, lonely coyote puppy from the side of the parkway and saves his life

It’s a police officer’s duty to help those in their community when they’re in need — whether they be human or animal.

Officers can often be counted on to go above and beyond the line of duty to help an animal in need, like one trooper who responded to a call about a “dog” in need of help, only to find out it wasn’t a dog at all.

Trooper Carlo Mastromattei of the Massachusetts State Police responded to a call, apparently about a wounded dog in need of help on the side of the parkway.

But when he arrived on the scene, he was surprised to discover that the dog was in fact a wild coyote.

But the coyote pup was still in need of help. He was wounded and all by himself, with no mother in sight.

He was also in a very dangerous spot, with cars speeding by on the parkway. Trooper Mastromattei contacted local animal authorities, but no one was available.

But he was able to reach Ocean View Kennels, and the owner Lisa Cutting arrived on the scene and helped secure the coyote in a crate to bring him to safety.

Then, going above and beyond the line of duty, Trooper Mastromattei took the coyote home to care for it himself.

But of course, it was just for one night. Soon, the coyote had to go into the care of wildlife specialists who can help him get back to where he belongs.

The next morning he was brought to Tufts Wildlife, where he was given a veterinary examination and found to be in good health. Then, he was transferred to a wildlife expert, who rehabilitated him so he could be released back into the wild.

The Massachusetts State Police shared the story on Facebook, and thanked everyone involved with the little coyote’s rescue.

“The Department offers its sincere thanks to Trooper Mastromattei, his girlfriend, Ocean View Kennels, and Tufts for their compassionate care for this beautiful little creature,” they wrote.

Thank you to Trooper Mastromattei and everyone who helped save this beautiful coyote puppy!

Chihuahua Puppy Bath Time

Watch this short video of this sweet little puppy get his first bath!

One of the most important grooming routines for a Chihuahua is bathing. Whether you own a long-coat or smooth-coat variety, all Chihuahuas must be bathed to prevent build-ups of dirt and to keep their fur free of any tangles. Unfortunately, many owners allow their Chihuahuas to go un-bathed for long periods of time, making the process even more difficult when they try to place them in a tub or sink. If you’re wondering what the best way is to clean them, keep reading and walk you through the steps to bathing a Chihuahua.

While bathing is an essential grooming routine for a Chihuahua, you should avoid over-doing it. It’s far too common for owners to bathe their pups multiple times a week, and while this may not seem like a big deal, it can easily dry out their skin. So, how often are you supposed to bathe them? It really depends on several different factors, such as their level of outdoor activity, what type of shampoo you are using, whether they are long-coat or smooth, how clean the air is inside your home, and how much they clean themselves with their tongue. With that said, a good rule of thumb is to bathe them around once every 2-3 weeks, as this should keep them clean without drying out their skin.

What You’ll Need To Bathe a Chihuahua Before you can give your Chihuahua a proper bath, you’ll first need to acquire a few basic supplies. While you may already have some of these laying around your home, chances are you’ll need to make a trip to the local pet store for the rest. Here are the items necessary to bathe a Chihuahua:

Premium dog-formulated shampoo (people shampoo can be too harsh for their delicate skin). Wash cloth Dry Towel Pitcher or large bowl Some treats

Do Chihuahuas and Children Mix?

As a facilitator of a very large Chihuahua community, I have seen many instances where children in the family (even babies and very young kids) get along great with the family Chihuahua.

But there are just as many, if not more instances where people ask for help because their Chi is snapping at their toddler.

If you plan on having kids or already have young children, it’s best to wait until they are older before getting a Chihuahua. Chihuahuas tend to be snappy towards children and Chihuahuas are fragile and can be easily injured by a child that is to rough with them.

Older children, age 10 and up, tend to do just fine with Chihuahuas as long as they are respectful and do not tease your Chi.

Chihuahuas typically do not do well with young children. It’s understandable when you put yourself in your Chi’s place and realize how scary it is to have this loud, jerky little person grabbing at you. They are frightened and just trying to protect themselves.

If you already have a Chihuahua and young children come into your household, you will need to train both your child and your Chihuahua how to act with each other.

Training Your Child: Always supervise your child and your Chihuahua when they are together. Teach your child how to be gentle when petting or holding your chi.Use calm, slow movements. Use a calm, soothing tone of voice. Use a catch phrase. For instance, when I was teaching my granddaughter how to pet my Chi Kilo, I would say “Be gentle” over and over as I was showing her how to treat Kilo. Continuous reinforcement

is needed until you are sure they understand. Training Your Chihuahua: Puppies are easier to train than adults of course. If your Chi is a puppy, you can place him/her in your child’s arms to get them used to your child. If the Chi is an adult, wait until the dog is comfortable with your child before trying this. Work on allowing your Chihuahua to be petted by your child first. Praise both dog and child if they are getting a long well together. If your dog snaps at your child, tell the Chihuahua “no” in a firm voice, and put them in a “timeout” a way from everyone. If your dog growls at your child, it’s a warning. It’s time to separate the dog from the child. You can try again with the training later. If your dog is a puppy, and does the typical puppy thing by trying to chew on you or your child, tell them “no” and give them a chew toy instead. It’s important that they learn at a young age, that biting is a no-no. If attempts to train your kids and Chis are just not working, then it’s time to get the advice and help of a professional dog trainer.

Chihuahuas and children together can work out but it usually will require some effort and work from everyone involved.
